Almost 'Purrrf'ect..

~among all the places to be warming up~

As you all know, this post will be mostly about the marathon that I just ran but before that I’m going to tell a touching and inspiring survival story. This is about my pet kitten that I found on its death bed. If you saw it then, you thought it was surely going to die. My father has a tendency to never give up on something that has a chance on surviving. We already made plans to take it to the vet tomorrow. Somehow I was texting Nasyrah that night, I didn’t remember why but she was a lot of help. She gave me the number for a vet, which was actually the number to the doctor’s house. Awkward but it was very useful. To think back, she is actually a real cat person. She once posted something about her cat. Anyway, thanks Nasyrah!
on the vet's table.
The next day we, my mom, dad and me took the kitten to the vet a.s.a.p because it’s time could be up if we didn’t do anything. There was only one vet that was in mind and that one was the one that was located near the ostrich farm on the road to Kuala Pilah. For those new on having pets, I would recommend a different vet because the one here was not that ‘animal friendly’. After taking it to the vet, we went back home and let the cat to DRY not to die. Huhu :’( literally. After a day of intense care, the cat could finally could get back on its legs. Since then we gave it real cat food insted of the regular, which was last night’s leftovers. Haha. oh yes, I almost forgot to tell you guys this, it is now more tame than I could ever imagine it to be.
tired after the seeing the not nice vet. :(
SEE WHAT I MEAN?
Enough about the cat, now I’ll write about one off the most tiring experience that my parents, especially my mom, had to go through, THE PURTAJAYA NIGHT MARATHON a.k.a PNM! To make things easier for me to write, I’ll write in the ‘before, during and after’ way. As usual,
LETS BEGIN!
my tshirt got sent by mail. XL? wtf, i'm an L guy.
the ticket to enter the run.

Before:
We started the trip to Putrajaya at 11 a.m. This time it was a senior’s trip because the ones that came was my parents, my sister and me * the ones that already finished their school lives. Hehe. Wit the help of my mom’s Gammin, we made our way to the place we were staying, PULLMAN resort. Ever heard of the place. It is a really nice place for the newlyweds and for those who are planning to stay here, don’t bring your laptop here since they don’t have internet access. That was a real bummer since the place that had a perfect view of the upcoming city you should also have internet access. Huhu. Nevermind. After ‘unpacking’, we went to Alamanda for lunch and after persuading my parents, we went to take look at the track that we were about to run later that night. Then we went back and slept until 6.00pm to have more energy for the night. woke up and made our way to the starting point. It was still early but it gave us time to have a look around and find out where they were serving drinks.

Hehe. Early birds have their advantages. Hoho. After have a look around, we made our way to the nearest ‘surau’. After completing the prayers with all the other runners, we all were pumped up to run. Gathered at the starting point and watched the 42 km runners start their race.

We were at the starting point half an hour before we were suppose too. Because we were THAT early, we were first inline.

excited runners.

During:
We started our run the second the ref’s watch strikes 9pm. The run wasn’t that long because it was only a 7.7 km run and I finished it in 40minutes and 43 seconds. One of the reasons why I felt it wasn’t that long was because I was talking to a friend, thanks Amira. Another was because I was listening to my MP3 too loud and that made lose track of time. At the finishing line, there was a long queue so I had to wait to get the medal, but other people jumped the line. WTF! Don’t believe me? Read these forum and the comments posted by other runners. having a taste of gold!

After:
As soon as the race was over, I rushed over to the Milo stand and grabbed as much cups as I could. It was an ‘all you could take’ booth, if you could carry 10, take 10. For the average guy, one could only bring 4, two in each hand. But some did the impossible, they took 8 at once. Don’t ask me how, but he just did so. Met my parents 20-30 minutes later on the only place that has grass in Purtajaya. Cooled down for a while and made our way back.
a tired couple.

The next day, me and my sister had a small photo session that morning. This were a few photos from the morning and yes the food served were good enough that it made me go for thirds. Haha.
*being uploaded later

I think that is enough for this post, considering that I’m sick and quite tired. FYI: I’ve been sick for the past few days. Till I get my stamina back and I’ll elaborate more on this post. So due come back for more in a few days time. I’ll post it on my facebook and myspace acc.

Till I get bvack on my feet,
ABDULLAH MOHD BADAWI.
